The Mahjong is played with tiles like dominoes, and the mechanics of the game is similar to Rummy’s cardgame. It is played between 4 players designated as east, south, west and north, each one will built a wall of seventeen tiles long, two tiles height, and that are located to form a centered and wall.
Each player throws two of six dice, who gets the highest score becomes the “East Wind”. This player rolls again the dice, and starting with his own wall counts in the opposite direction of clockwise until it reaches the wall corresponding to its roll.
Each “hand” is each one of the episodes in which tiles are move and spread, and ends when any player makes Mahjong. Each hand has two winds that affect it, the “wind of round” and the “wind seat.” The first hand has as round wind East, and as seat wind also East.
The “wind seat” is the wind of the player who distributes the tiles and that it is also the one who begins to play, this role rotates during the game. It begins with the East, so the first hand will have as seat wind the East, the next one south, then west, and finally North. Therefore, it’s called game to all the four rounds. In the end one game has four hands, and each round at least four hands, so a game has a minimum of 16 hands. As the hand develops the tiles of the wall will be consumed.
Generally, the hand ends when one of the four players get to put his tiles and make Mahjong, but if should this be the case that all the validated tiles were consumed without no one have committed success, a new hand has to start, with a new seat wind again , and no one will have won.
